Awkwardness Parties
Awkwardness Parties are parties where people gather to be socially inept and create extremely uncomfortable, awkward situations. They are a growing fad in America and Europe, where many teenagers chose to have awkwardness-themed graduation parties.
"Yeah, like...." says one teen who threw an awkward graduation party, "It was cool...we like...sat at a table...and none of us talked...at all...for hours. Then we all went home and cried. It was....fun. Also, I scored...a goal...at a soccer game....yesterday." The teen then slipped into a semi-conscious state.
Many dance clubs are now offering "awkward nights" so that less confident people can still feel comfortable. "Awkward Night" dances are different from regular dances--the club will play loud music, and all the people will stand around the dance floor, not moving at all, and staring morosely at it for hours at a time. Then they'll go home and cry.
Some awkwardness parties even go so far as to hire professional awkwardists to perform acts of extreme awkwardness in front of the guests, who applaud awkwardly.
Yeah.
