“This is worse than the time I...”

Family Guy is the most original TV programme ever made. Never before has any animated comedy program dictated the lives of a family with a fat lazy dad, an obsessive mother, a rejected son, an intelligent daughter, a house dog which is largely ignored but once ran on a greyhound race track to defy its owners, and an underestimated clever baby. The episodes are known for their completely new ideas and original story lines. The fact that they air on Fox adds to the originality - they obviously didn't get successful by using the same network as an already well-established programme in the same genre. I mean, it's not like any other shows started airing 15 years before it with any similarities at all.

Reasons why Family Guy is so utterly hilarious

It's just so amazing on many levels. It never abandons the plot or makes unfunny unrelated jokes. It hasn't been known to be "hilariously" racist. It isn't despised by the majority of people in the comedy animation industry. Come on, their core audience isn't brain-dead 12-14 year old adolescents who have very low standards of humour! Family Guy wasn't pulled off air twice for low ratings and general public lack of interest - and it's not like they pumped incredibly large amounts of money to try to succeed on their third attempt!
