Father's Day
“Daddy! Let's get ice cream!”
“No!”
Father's Day is the day where fathers across the world say they won't do any work, but end up working. They also are known to "not really want to do anything" and ruin their families' days who "wanted to take advantage". Grilling on Father's Day is common and so are cookouts. But, a lot of times, families just get takeout from Outback, Chili's, or even Applebees'.
If a family decides to grill, hamburgers and hot dogs are the general choice. Barbecued chicken is cooked if they're adventurous and so are sausages.
If you thought Mother's Day cards are cheesy, look at Father's Day cards! "Dear Dad; You're the best. Love ____". Then you look on the back, "$10.00". WTF?
Father's Day would go forgotten every year if there weren't all those Kohls Father's Day sales generally on grills and such.
Father's Day is a day meant to be celebrated by having friends over, enjoy a nice smorgasbord of homecooked meals and spend nice family time sitting on the couch watching ESPN and getting some takeout. Screw family time.
In all seriousness, to every IllogiDad out there (none), Happy Father's Day.
And to everyone else, make sure you wish your dad a Happy Father's Day.
Wow, that was cheesy.
