Oh, hello there. I bet you're wondering how people get to have fancy signatures like these, aren't you?
First of all I would make a page at Special:MyPage/sig so you can work on it. Next, take a look at the sigs of other people on the site and copy/paste the code...
...and so on. Finally, open up 'My Preferences' and paste {{Subst:Nosubst|User:MyUserName/sig}} (With "MyUserName" being your actual username) into the 'signature' box. Hit save and whenever you type " -- ~~~~ " anywhere on the wiki your sig will appear with timestamp and date. Easy huh?
As for what to put in there, you can have fake doctorates or awards or something.
