Etymology: English, from Substance: "essential nature" or "essence" and Sustenance:"food" or "nourishment"
  1. Food quality which allows a person to "sink their teeth into it". Example: "These noodles are lame. I need something with substenance, like a big juicy hamburger."
  2. Heartiness of a food. Example: Of course you got sick from just eating candy, you didn't actually eat anything with substenance.
