Nottle Sludge
Nottle Sludge is the name of an artist known for his brilliant work with symbolism. He famously painted a picture of a man removing his own toes. The picture was painted on the underside of a toilet seat, and it symbolized the anguish of life in the modern world. It was sold on eBay for $400 and now hangs over the entrance to a soup kitchen. His art was the inspiration for the foundation of an organization called The Strangely Named Organization.
At the age of 87, Nottle announced his most ambitious painting project yet (and what may arguably be the most ambitious artistic project ever undertaken). He decided to paint the entire surface of planet earth Orange. He started with his own home--he sprayed orange paint over everything--absolutely everything--and there were dashes--
He never finished. He managed to get most of his neighborhood covered in orange paint. Then he tried to smear orange paint on an old woman, explaining to her "I need to cover the whole world with orange paint! I NEED to! NEED!" But she said, "FOOL! The world is already painted orange inside your head! Inside your head! HEAD!"
Need. HEad.
He understood that "All art exists in the human brain, which is more beautiful than anything else in the Universe, except Angelina Jolie's lips."
He removed his clothes and ran in to a forest, with the paintbrush in his nose and orange paint running down his body.
He died like a tree.
