Template talk:Current Moon
Erm, is this broken? I want to know when I can clean out the trash. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 20:57, 16 Aym 2007 (UTC)
- /me points out that it is actually a new moon. Seems fine to me.--<css>

- For me, it says:
- The Moon is currently in its 1st quarter and is 1% full.
- May 2, 2007 00:00:01 AM
- 0.018
- next full moon.
- Is this correct? I'm sure it has said this for days now. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 21:02, 16 Aym 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like you need to update your Java, it doesnt say that for me.--<css>

- Update my Java? That might explain it. One question: how do I do that? :-) -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 21:07, 16 Aym 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't use Java, but Javascript; the two are unrelated, save the names. Javascript support is provided by the browser. I don't see how it'd have anything to do with it - the script having worked before, the browser has all it needs. --Fluffalizer 21:32, 16 Aym 2007 (UTC)

Better res pics
Those scaled up pngs look a bit ugly. We ought to do some higher res versions, there are some good ones here. I've uploaded a few to show what I mean:
File:1stQ.png File:2ndQ.png File:3rdQ.png File:4thQ.png
I would add these now but I don't know what's going on with the Current Moon template. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 11:44, 4 Yoon 2007 (UTC)
- :(, I made the pictures myself, they arn't stolen from anyone, as you may have noticed they don't move like the normal pictures, insted they rotate round. Maybe if we can get <insert name here> to work, we can make it so that users can choose which they would rather/come up with a better solution?--<css>

- That's fine, the existing images are OK(ish) as they are but they look ugly because they are scaled up. Perhaps if you made them appear their actual size in the template it wouldn't look so bad. I just thought some photographs would look better, seeing as it's on the front page and everything. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 12:17, 4 Yoon 2007 (UTC)
- When im not feeling so lasy, ill make some nice looking ones, i just dont like the ones that are actually a moon, id rather something a bit more abstract, hence the reason the picture moves in quarters.--<css>

- You mean like clip art? I'm sure you could knock something up in Flash, you being an image editing whiz. I have every faith in you. :) -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 13:17, 30 Ditzimber 2007 (UTC)
Something is horribly wrong with this template!
It says the next full moon is May 2, 2007, even though it's June 2, 2009! Can someone fix it please, this template looks cool though! --Skate1168 (Talk) 14:00, 2 Yoon 2009 (UTC)
Please read my last comment! >:( --Skate1168 (Talk) 17:59, 3 Yoon 2009 (UTC)
- Nah, we ditched this template months ago as part of redesigning the main page. It is unlikely to be used again, as it is broken and has been for ages.--Ben Blade 18:28, 3 Yoon 2009 (UTC)

I have an Idea!
Hey guys, I just figured out that after a New Moon, a Full Moon happens 15 days later. Could this information help you guys make a new Current Moon template (Or a least tell me how to make one)? :? --Skate1168 (Talk) 02:20, 4 Yoon 2009 (UTC)

Well I guess I am going to have to try (again) B) --Skate1168 (Talk) 13:03, 4 Yoon 2009 (UTC)
- The template uses insite javascript, it probably needs recoding too, but regardless, good luck making a new moon version of it, not worth the mehfort--<css>
