The monster let out a wail of misery. He had utterly and completely failed. Sure, he had managed to scare the humans, but only because of an absurd coincidence. The human race was scarier than he would ever be. He had lost his purpose. The monster slowly sat up, then, overwhelmed with misery, he killed himself with a TV remote. That's right. He killed himself with a TV remote. It took quite a long time.
