Toast (bread)
Toast (literally 'fish fingers without the fish') is a form of non-degradable food found to the rear of many methods of public transport, particularly schoolbuses and the breakfast carriage of a first class train. The amount of toast found on said transport is directly proportional to the carriage's distance from the ticket inspector, though this figure is being totally fecked by the introduction of CCTV in even the darkest depths of your typical Virgin boneshaker.
The turgidness of a standard slice of toasted bread can be attributed to the amount of butter applied to its surface in conjunction with the length of time it has been left in the freezer. Frozen toast is a particular delicacy in parts of the Arctic, but then food other than fish is in relatively short supply anywhere north of Aaland.
