What's

the
deal
with
word
stairs?

(Not

that
there's
anything
wrong
with
them.)

~ Jerry

Seinfeld
on
word
stairs

Word

stairs
are
sentences
in
which
the
words
are
arranged
in
a
nonsensical
stairway
order.

It

is
reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllllly
annoying
and
pointless.

Most

people
have
a
hard
time
reading
them,
so
they
don't.

In

this
case,
they
just
stare
at
the
words,
making
themselves
word
stair
starers.
Occasionally,
word
stairs
go
in
reverse.
These
are
called
"reversal
word
stairs".
They
are
especially
annoying
when
someone
purposely
makes
them
go
off
the
page.

A

stair
paragraph
is
a
special
technique
for
word
stairs.
They
continue
making
steps
with
each
new
sentence,
without
stopping.
They
have
the
common
tendency
to
go
off
the
page
as
well.
